Town Mayor’s Parade & Service

This year’s Parade and Civic Service will be held on Sunday 2 June to welcome Congleton’s new Town Mayor.

The parade will gather from 2pm at either West Street Car Park or Antrobus Street Car Park (tbc), to set off at 2.15pm to arrive at the Town Hall for a 2.30pm service. The service is expected to finish by 4pm, followed by light refreshments. Would you like to be part of it?

We would like the event to be inclusive and a celebration of everyone in Congleton who supports the community and the town. With this in mind, all local schools, clubs, businesses, groups, churches and charities etc will be invited to take part in the special occasion. We would be honoured if your association would like to get involved in the lively parade, and if you wish, join us for the service too. Please let us know by 30 April if you would like to take part, indicating how many people you expect to bring, and how many would like to stay for the service. If we have a large take-up, we might have to restrict the numbers from each organisation due to the length of the parade and the size of the Town Hall.

We hope you will join us for what we hope will be a wonderful day and a tribute to everyone who makes Congleton such a great town.
