Swimmers in Congleton can look forward to getting a brand new pool and pool hall at the recently renamed Peter Mason Leisure Centre, in Worrall Street.
Cheshire East Council has agreed a plan to spend up to £8.8 million creating a new pool to replace the existing one and had given the green light for a development partner to explore options and deliver a newly refurbished facility. The centre will also benefit from an enhanced dry side area, poolside viewing and greater car parking capacity.
One of the biggest non-sporting venues in Congleton. It a great space to hold parties, celebrations, weddings, exhibitions, concerts, large meetings, training, fundraisers, launches and sporting events.
The room can accommodate 220 people seated theatre-style, with room for a further 100 on the balcony and sides. For Weddings, fund raisers and events involving fine dining the room is better suited to 100 – 180 guests. Feature lighting in a wide variety of colours and fairy lights are available at an additional cost to transform room and to meet your colour scheme.
