Congleton is a market town with a population of around 28,400 (2021 census) located in south east Cheshire. The town is about half way between Manchester and Stoke and is part of the beautiful Cheshire Peak District. Congleton is well known for its festivals, flowers, ribbons, beers and bears! It has over 150 local organisations and groups, a busy town centre, its own theatre, fantastic park, museum and paddling pool.
Congleton Town Council was created in 1980 to represent the people of Congleton town. 22 Councillors, representing five wards, are elected every four years (next election May 2027) to serve on the Council.

The Grand Hall itself is big enough to hold concerts, dances, private parties, exercise classes and exhibitions. The Bridestones Suite is a smaller more intimate space ideal for smaller gatherings of up to 80 such as wedding ceremonies and christenings.
