Accessible Christmas FAQ’s

The town council, in collaboration with its Equal Access Support Group, has launched a series of accessibility improvements to ensure everyone can join in the festive cheer at the Lights Switch-On. Friday 29 November, 4pm-8pm.

New Inclusivity Area, Mill Street (No1 on map)

This dedicated space offers families, prams, mobility scooters, and wheelchair users a comfortable area to experience the festivities. A large screen (generously supported by a £750 donation from Congleton Rotary) will live-stream entertainment from the main stage, bringing the vibrant performances to all, away from the hustle and bustle.

TMC, High Street (No 6 on map)

For those seeking a quieter retreat, a calming space within TMC will be available from 5pm-7pm.  Please note, the route to TMC will be extremely busy, peaking at 6pm when the lights are switched on.
