Congleton Town Mayor is set to serve up a treat for whisky lovers! The whisky tasting event organised for charitable causes will take place in Congleton Town Hall on Friday 14 October at 7pm.
The special ticketed event will be hosted by whisky tasting specialist, Neil Raval. There will be six drams to taste from all corners of Scotland starting with delicate and approachable drams to peat-powered favourites. Neil will share his passion for single malts and many years professional experience to take guests on a journey exploring the flavours of Scotland.
Congleton Town Mayor, Cllr Margaret Gartside said: “Everyone is welcome to the fun and sociable evening, I hope we can attract as many people as possible to raise vital funds for local charities. The fund raiser is the perfect event for whisky connoisseurs to broaden their knowledge or anyone looking to try something new and unique. In addition to the six whisky’s to be showcased there will be a charity raffle, fun activities and prizes. For those who are not a fan of the wee dram, a bottle of wine will be offered as an alternative. The ticket prize also includes a hot meal. It promises to be a fantastic masterclass event.”
All funds raised will go to the Town Mayor’s charities, established to help as many Congleton-based charities as possible. Tickets are available at £35 from the Town Hall Information Centre. Tel: 01260 270350 ext 1 or email: info@congleton-tc.gov.uk. The banquet is strictly over 18 years only.
