Congleton Town Council is preparing to host a 1920s-themed event in the park on Bank Holiday Monday to commemorate 100 years of Congleton War Memorial Hospital. Pack your picnics and join us for this fun FREE ENTRY event. Filled with live music and entertainment, including a brass band, a 1920s swing band, traditional games, RSPCA dog show, food & drink stalls and much more! Don’t miss the spectacle of the hospital bed race!

Established in 1924 and opened by HRH Duke of York (later King George VI), the hospital holds a significant place in the town’s history. East Cheshire NHS Trust encourages local residents to contribute their cherished memories of the hospital to an online portal.
