Beating the Bounds of Congleton

Beating the Bounds of Congleton is a 10.6 mile walk around the settlement boundary of the town to celebrate 750 years of a town charter.
About this event
Take part as a family or with friends. We are looking for 750 people, one person for each year to walk around the settlement boundary. It is £1 to enter with all funds raised being donated to the Town Mayor’s local charities. Use the event as your fund raiser to raise money for a charity you support.
There are check points along the route where you can learn historical facts.
The event starts on the footpath between Giantswood Lane and Alderley Gate on Manchester Road. It is a prompt 10am start with horses and riders in medieval dress setting of the event.
Get your steps up, improve your fitness and have fun at the same time as well as celebrating 750 years of having a town charter.
