As part of its efforts to tackle climate change, Congleton Town Council has updated its website to provide more green resources and signposting for residents and businesses.
There are three new sections – Green Council, Green Living and Green Business, which offer advice, resources and links to explain what the Council is doing and what residents and businesses can do to improve their own carbon and environmental footprint.
Chair of the Community and Environment Committee, Cllr Kay Wesley said: “We had lots of information on our website in different places, but this work has brought the existing content together as well as adding some new advice resources. Together with the Sustainable Living in Congleton e-learning course, we hope this will help people and companies in Congleton to join the effort in combating climate change.”
Town Mayor, Cllr Margaret Gartside added: “We have always said the council cannot do this alone. Everyone has a role to play in saving the planet and I hope residents and businesses will find the new web pages useful.”
The three new sections can be found on this website under ‘Your Council’, ‘Discover Congleton’ and ‘Business Support’.
