There are just a few weeks left to nominate Congleton’s dedicated volunteers for the Congleton Town Mayor’s Civic Awards. Nominations close on 18 April 2025, and the town council is urging residents to recognise those who make a real impact in the community.
So far, nominations have been received across various categories, highlighting the incredible work being done in Congleton. However, there is still time to put forward more deserving individuals who have shown outstanding commitment to helping others.
Congleton Town Mayor, Cllr Kay Wesley said: “We’ve received some fantastic nominations, but we know there are still many unsung heroes in our community. If you know someone who tirelessly gives their time to support others, now is the time to recognise them.”
The awards honour volunteers in categories such as Community Involvement, Arts & Culture, Wellbeing, Environment, and Young Volunteer of the Year. The special Unsung Hero Award will also be presented to an exceptional nominee.
Winners will be celebrated at the Annual Town Meeting on 15 May 2025.
