Congleton’s Annual Remembrance Parade, organised by Congleton Town Council and the Congleton branch of The Royal British Legion, will take place on Sunday 12 November.
The parade will march from West Street car park at 10.30am, along West Street to Swan Bank, through the pedestrian area, High Street, Market Square and Bank Street before reaching the Cenotaph in Lawton Street. After the two-minute silence at 11am, dignitaries and associations will be called upon to lay wreaths. This will be followed by a short service.
The Royal British Legion will be in the town centre on Saturday 28 October to mark the start of the Poppy Appeal. They will be collecting daily in Tesco and Morrisons until 11 November from 10am-3pm and West Heath Shopping Centre at weekends. Poppies also available from the Congleton Information Centre.
